Fortescue
Safaris
Will’s inclusive, generous, and deeply attentive to who you are and what you need. No one-size-fits-all approach here, whether you’re solo or in a group, he meets you where you are. It’s exactly why I’ve returned…and will keep returning.

Fortescue Safaris was built on a single, stubborn conviction: that no two safaris should ever be the same.
We build every itinerary from scratch, ensuring each one reflects exactly what our guests are looking for - and then pushes it a little further. Thirteen years in the field across four continents and a network of guides, operators and fixers accumulated along the way means we can create safaris that simply aren't available off the shelf. Wildlife first, always. The rest, we figure out together.
Photo Tours Vs. Bespoke Safaris
We offer two distinct safari options: Our Photo Tours are dedicated photographic safaris for small groups, built around founder Will’s favourite destinations and led by Will himself. Bespoke Safaris are crafted entirely around you - honeymoons, family expeditions, Arctic husky races (yes, really). Whatever you have in mind, we'll find a way to make it happen.

Photo Tours
Small groups, set departure dates, Will’s favourite locations and all the hard work taken care of already. Simply turn up, switch off and grab your cameras.

Bespoke Safaris
Created by us, with you. We never repeat an itinerary and always make sure we understand why you want to travel before determining where you travel.
An exceptionally crafted experience
Originally inspired by William’s meticulously planned, black and white images of the planet’s most iconic species, we dedicate the same level of care and attention to every itinerary we curate.
Whether it’s hosting a photo tour - on which over 60% of guests are repeat customers - planning a couple’s once in a lifetime holiday or a family safari to far flung corners of the earth.

Meet our founder, William Fortescue
Will's guiding principle - that a great photograph should appear as though he wasn't there - has shaped everything he does, from his internationally exhibited print collection to the safaris he designs and leads across four continents. Thirteen years in the field, the cover image for Wildlife Photographer of the Year ‘24 and over £145,000 raised for conservation. You just have to ignore how much of that he’s done in a pair of Crocs while laughing at his own jokes.

Safari With Will
Every photo tour is planned by Will, built around the locations he knows best and timed for when he knows them to be at their most productive. Five years since his first tour, spaces are now selling out eighteen months in advance - and 2027 is almost fully booked.
